Self Defense
for Women
Always be aware of your
surroundings. There's much less chance of your being caught off
guard if you work on heightening your awareness to your
surroundings. Be observant and be safe.

Self Defense Tip
- If you are grabbed in a choke hold from the front or rear by an
attacker using his hands, try this to escape:
 | Don't panic. |
 | Raise your arms straight up in
the air, outside your attacker's arms, as if signaling a touchdown
in football. |
 | Spin your entire body
clockwise or counterclockwise (whichever way you can), while keeping
your arms raised high. Do it fast and hard. The strength and mass of
your entire body should enable your arms/shoulders to be able to
break the choke hold and free you for an escape. |
